The chrome chassis is very tarnished, some of the hardware lightly rusted, and white print around controls has rubbed away over time. The pots are also fairly dusty and crackle when turned, would greatly benefit from some contact cleaner. It pumps 40 watts into a single 12 Celestial Seventy 80 speaker fueled by two 6L6 Groove Tubes output tubes and three 12AX7 preamps. The reissue Blues Deluxe is a vintage-style tube with boutique tone at great price that many pro rock, country and blues players have used to superb effect.
While its newer cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, has many modern refinements, more and enthusiasts continue to request warm tone, unique circuitry, classic features sharp look of original version. Most notably, this is dirty throughout and could use an in-depth cleaning. The original speaker cable has also been extended; the work is well done and everything works properly, but would be fairly simple to replace if chosen do so.
