I used this for metal so never had a need. There were four versions of these, a 100 watt head, combo, 50 and combo. Non issue when playing though. Thanks There are a few differences, you can compare schematics online if you re interested but they re fairly subtle.
Two channels and 11 tubes!, These were designed by Mike Soldano for Yamaha shortly before he started amps they re almost exactly a SLO-100 fraction of the price. Even though i've had this for almost 20 years never tried using the mod and have always left switches in full power position. I will remove the tubes for shipping and pack label them individually easy re installation. I can't guarantee or even speak to the quality of that mod.
Prior to my owning it someone did a low power mod, see pics of added switches on the back. This is a killer amp. The Rolex is nearly pristine, looks new. Its missing the reverb tank but it should be easy enough to replace if you want one, just look up drive and recovery impedance specs wants.
Great cleans all the way to filthy metal distortion. There are some scratches on the metal plates, worst of which being name scratched off face plate. This one is a 100 watt combo that has been converted to head which makes it quite bit smaller than standard.
