This perennially popular vintage tube was made in the USA by Val co, parent company which also produced amps under National, Oahu, and Greats banners among others. Up for sale, a 1965 Supro Thunderbolt model S6420 combo amplifier in good condition and perfect working order. Notable for being an early example of the Thunderbolt with a rectifier tube and sweet, driven sag, has 5U4 in position, along pair 5881 6L6GC power tubes 12AX7 valves preamps. Cosmetically the chassis retains majority of its black silk screened graphics, and chrome exhibits some areas surface rust through plating.

For everything from clean, woolly rhythm tones to saturated tube roar further up on the volume dial, Thunderbolt delivers a pure sound with simple yet ingenious circuit and only two knobs for Volume Tone. Its missing the original Supro logo. Lightly compressed, focused, and delivering an elegant, touch-sensitive overdrive that's conically distinct, the Thunderbolt pushes roughly 35 watts through a pair of 6L6 power tubes Jensen C15P speaker. The speaker is the original Jensen C-15P ceramic magnet 15 driver, and date stamp on edge of frame from 18th week '65.
