The Marshall Mori20HU Origin 20-Tube Head FX Loop Boost Guitar Amp Amplifier is an exquisite piece of music equipment that harkens back to the golden age of guitar amplifiers. This amp is a tribute to the iconic 1962 JTM45, capturing its tonal essence while incorporating modern features for contemporary musicians.
The Marshall Mori20HU boasts a powerful 20-watt output, which is perfect for studio sessions or small-scale gigs. Under the hood, you'll find two 12AX7 preamp valves and two EL84 power valves, ensuring a rich, warm, and harmonically-complex sound. The preamp section is meticulously designed to deliver a wide range of tones, from crystal-clear clean to searing overdrive, while the power stage provides the necessary punch and dynamics for your playing style.
One of the standout features of this amp is the FX Loop, which allows you to integrate your favorite effects pedals into your signal chain without compromising on tone. This feature is particularly useful for players who prefer to shape their sound with external gear, offering ultimate flexibility and creativity.
The Marshall Mori20HU also features a Boost circuit, which can be engaged via a footswitch (sold separately). This circuit adds an extra layer of drive and saturation to your sound, making it ideal for soloing or adding some grit to your rhythm playing. The boost can be dialed in subtly or cranked up for a more aggressive, over-the-top tone, depending on your preference.
The amp head is housed in a vintage-style cabinet with a vinyl covering and leather handle, adding to its aesthetic appeal. The control panel is straightforward and intuitive, featuring Volume, Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs, as well as a Global Presence control for shaping the overall tone of the amp.
In conclusion, the Marshall Mori20HU Origin 20-Tube Head FX Loop Boost Guitar Amp Amplifier is a fantastic blend of vintage tone and modern features. It's a versatile and powerful tool for any guitarist looking to add some classic Marshall charm to their live or studio setup.
Pros of buying a Marshall Morlie20HU Origin 20 tube head FX loop boost guitar amp:1. Tube amplification: The use of vacuum tubes provides a warm, rich sound that is highly sought after by many guitarists.
2. FX loop: The FX loop allows you to insert external effects without affecting the sound of the amp's preamp stage, giving you more control over your tone.
3. Boost function: The boost function adds extra gain and volume, making it easier to cut through a mix or push your tubes into overdrive.
4. Classic Marshall look and feel: The Marshall Morlie20HU Origin has a classic Marshall look and feel, with a vintage-style control panel and a retro-inspired cabinet design.
5. Versatile tone: With three channels (clean, crunch, and lead) and a variety of tone shaping controls, the Morlie20HU can produce a wide range of tones, from clean and crisp to thick and overdriven.
Cons of buying a Marshall Morlie20HU Origin 20 tube head FX loop boost guitar amp:1. Cost: Tube amplifiers can be more expensive than solid-state amplifiers, and the Morlie20HU is no exception.
2. Maintenance: Tube amplifiers require more maintenance than solid-state amplifiers, including regular tube replacements and bias adjustments.
3. Size and weight: The Morlie20HU is a large and heavy amplifier, which may make it difficult to transport or set up in smaller spaces.
4. No built-in effects: The Morlie20HU does not have any built-in effects, so you will need to use external effects pedals to add reverb, delay, chorus, and other effects to your tone.
Conclusion: The Marshall Morlie20HU Origin 20 tube head FX loop boost guitar amp is a high-quality, versatile amplifier that can produce a wide range of tones. However, its cost, maintenance requirements, and size may make it less practical for some guitarists. If you are looking for a tube amplifier with a classic Marshall sound and a variety of tone shaping options, the Morlie20HU is a great choice. If you are looking for a more affordable or portable option, you may want to consider a solid-state amplifier with built-in effects.
Recommendation: If you are serious about your guitar tone and are willing to invest in a high-quality tube amplifier, the Marshall Morlie20HU Origin is a great choice. Its classic Marshall sound, versatile tone shaping options, and FX loop make it a powerful and flexible amplifier that can help you achieve the tone you've been looking for. However, be prepared to invest in maintenance and potentially upgrade to higher-quality tubes as your playing evolves.
Pix avail of all sides attached. Also comes with pedal for FX loop and Boost. Everything looks and works 100% on this. The only marks I can find on this is small scuffing the bottom in one place see pic, not sure how that happened.
Other wise every side of this looks nearly perfect to me. Great sounding amp, can play loud or soft. Comes with manual and original box but I will wrap head bubble when shipping out. Only played on it a few hours, inside my apartment.
