Yes, the rumors are true, body is actually made of cardboard. Paper caps, no circuit board and I wouldn't be a gentlemen without pointing out that it has death cap. This was a low cost model back in the day, but now it is real deal. I must say, this sounds clean at full gain.

This would be the perfect guitar for a jazz combo. I think this makes the sound a little more dead, but given alternatives. Do the cost comparison. All that being said, its also almost 70 years old.
