If you care I just put in new tubes to see if that was what up but nope. I didn manually bias them but its supposed to be self biasing AFAIK. Thx for looking. So what it used to do is if the gain was turned up seemed fine but low or clean had extremely weird dynamics, not as a matter of taste like electronics somewhere, almost garbled.
Taking offers on a Mechanics special. Then I put in all new tubes and tried it again if remember did the same thing for a little while then slowly faded out into great beyond. Its missing both the vents. I've been holding on to this for a while now considering getting it fixed but I think I m ready cut my losses.
If it didn take the new tubes with those alone were close to 1 but no guarantees.
